Frequently Asked Questions

What is Car Guy Nation?

You know what you want. As a car guy you’ve done your homework. We do three things to make it easier for you to get the deals you want using our group buying power.

  1. Every Monday we’ll feature a wide range of great “Member-only” deals from our Preferred Vendors on our home page and in our weekly email blast.
  2. If you don’t see what you’re looking for in Weekly Deals, use our Quote It service to get a great price just for you.
  3. Or, you can start your own Group Buy using our easy-to-use Group It function, and we’ll negotiate with our Preferred Vendors to get you and your group the best deal possible.

And the best part? It only takes seconds to sign up, and it’s FREE!

What is Quote It?

If you are looking for something in particular and don’t see it in the Buy it section, this could be the solution for you. Leveraging our buying power with hundreds of vendors across all the major car & truck categories, we take your request and work with our vendor management team to get you the best possible price.  It’s easy and you’ll have a quote in three days or less. This is a Premium Member service only.

What is Group It?

Want to use the power of group buying?  Just complete the request form.  The more people that get involved the better the price is for everyone.  Meanwhile we help by driving interest among the car enthusiast community and negotiate the best possible price for you and the group with one of our preferred vendors. This is a Premium Member service only.

How Do I Support a Member Group Buy Request?

It’s easy! If a member has requested that a specific product or service be offered as a Group Buy, and that request has been posted on the Deal Board (in the Group Buy section), you can show your support for the deal by clicking the yellow “Want This” button for that item (either on the Deal Board page or on the detailed deal page). The button will turn green, indicating a “Wanted” status, and the item’s “Wants” count will be increased to reflect your support. You can show even more support by getting your friends to do the same thing. Clicking the “Want This” button does not commit you to a purchase of that item. It merely indicates that, if a deal is ultimately negotiated for the item, you’d be interest in considering a purchase, depending on the particular terms of the deal.

What is the Gas Program?

All purchases made on the Car Guy Nation earn a minimum of 5% rebate towards gas! (measured in points) At the end of each quarter, you can request your Prepaid American Express Gas Cards in $50 increments. Great deals and free gas, it just doesn’t get better than that!

How Does Refer A Friend Work?

Each new member is given a unique referral link at the time they register (check your Account Information page and/or the Refer a Friend page). To invite a friend to join you as a member of Car Guy Nation, simply entering their email address on the Refer a Friend page or copy your referral link onto an invite, either via Facebook or Twitter. If a friend you’ve referred registers as a member, they instantly receive $5 in Car Guy Cash, usable toward a future purchase on the site. When they actually make their first purchase, you also get $5 in Car Guy Cash. There is no limit to how many friends you can invite. You can refer as many as you like, and get $5 for each one that signs up and buys something.

What are Referral Credits?

Car Guy Cash is a form of virtual currency or credit that you can earn in various ways, can accumulate in your Car Guy Nation account and use toward purchases made on the site. They work just like real cash on any program offered on Car Guy Nation, and they never expire.

What is “My Account”?

Each Car Guy Nation member is given a member account for keeping track of your activities on the Car Guy Nation site. By going to your “My Account” Dashboard, you can upgrade your personal information, check on your orders, see the status of your Car Guy Cash and Rebate Point accounts, check your Refer A Friend history, or change your password. It’s your “command center” for all things related to your account.
